Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Spurred on by not dying on Kilimanjaro last year and despite vowing never to get back in a tent i could not resist this charity and so the boots and collection tin are out again for 2010 and again i am asking you to help by supporting me and the charity Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity which helps teenagers and young people with cancer by building and equiping specialist units in hospitals, so when youngsters are cruelly struck down with this terrible disease they dont have the added nightmare of finding themselves alone and the only youngster on a ward of very sick old people, at least if they can be with people there own age they have someone to talk to in the small hours and someone who can relate to there fears and concerns. I know when we visited Leeds hospital with Jamie i used to look longingly at the Teenage unit and wished there could have been one at York and then leaving Jamie at the hospital might not have been so hard. So please give what you can, all you give will go to the charity as i will be paying all my own expenses on my 12 day excursion to almost 5000m in the Sikkem area of the Indian Himalaya, the trek will not be easy but the cause is worth a few aches and pains so please do your bit.
Cheers Alwyn.
