I've completed the ride. The weather was cold and wet with a strong northerly wind. I cycled 93.29 miles in 5.41 hours giving me an average speed of 16.5 mph. My average heart rate was 155 bpm. The route was lovely and I had a great time!

My dad died 2 years ago following complications over an operation on his heart. He had a pacemaker for 12 years. I want to raise some money for British Heart Foundation. Anything you can give will be great!

I'm hoping to complete the course in under 6 hours and the time will be electronically recorded.

The money raised will contribute towards placing specialist nurses in hospitals throughout the UK, funding vital pieces of equipment and supporting revolutionary developments in cardiac medicine through campaigns such as the Broken Hearts Appeal.
