Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On the 23rd June I and 6 other mad people are cycling from Hartley Wintney to Malle in Belgium who as a village we are twinned with. A total of 280 miles. For many this may not seem like a long way but please bear in mind my physique and the size of the hills on the way to Dover; understand Belgium is much flatter. We are leaving on a Tuesday and plan to arrive on the Friday lunchtime. If I can raise £1000 I have committed to doing a Sprint Triathlon in Malle which takes place on the Friday evening in Malle (400m swim (lake), 20k cycle and 5k run (or maybe crawl!)

I am looking to raise funds for Naomi House who are a children's hospice local to me who do incredible work with very poorly children. You only have to look at your own children or those of family/friends to imagine the horror that all connected must go through if a child is ill. Naomi House provide many levels of care and support for the children and their families though difficult times. Their work at the moment is not helped by having much of their long term funds tied up in the failed Icelandic Banks and despite assurances of help from the Govt, retrieving some/all of the funds seem a long way off.

Many thanks for looking at my page and donating - really is appreciated.
