Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Please take a moment to visit the Whizz Kidz website http://www.whizz-kidz.org.uk to see the work they do, and if you can, please take the opportunity to sponsor me online.

Whizz-Kidz, the national children's charity, improves the quality of life of disabled children in the UK by providing customised mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs and tricycles that are not available on the NHS.

The right equipment gives disabled children the means to move around independently and live their lives to the full. Often for the first time, they can join in with their friends at school, at home or at play.

Whizz-Kidz has changed the lives of over 3,800 disabled children in the UK to date.

Whizz-Kidz provides customised mobility equipment that costs from £520-£2700 for an adapted tricycle or bicycle, £540 to £2,500 for a manual wheelchair and £2,500-£14,500 for a powered wheelchair. There are currently more than 70,000* disabled children in the UK whose lives would significantly benefit from the charity's support (*University of York Social Policy Research Unit, 1995) Visit http://www.whizz-kidz.org.uk/ for more information. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Whizz-Kidz will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Best wishes, Paul Andringa
