Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

In March 2009 I am entered to run in what is known as 'The Toughest Footrace on Earth'. The Marathon Des Sables, (MDS) is a 6 day / 151 mile (243km) endurance race across the Moroccan Sahara Desert. In addition to that, competitors have to carry everything they will need for the duration of the race on their backs. This includes all food/cooking utensils, medicines, clothes, sleeping bag etc.

At least two children are diagnosed with a liver disease every day in the.  CLDF’s research, education and support programmes are vital in helping to provide a future for these children.  CLDF receives no government funding and could not exist without the vital contribution made by its supporters, both in raising funds and helping to awareness of childhood liver disease. I have seen first hand the help and support that this great charity provides to families with a child suffering from Liver disease and every pound raised really will have an impact. This is a very deserving cause so please dig deep and give what you can.

From the 28th march you will be able to track my progress from the event home page.
