Fundraising for Friends of Amani (UK)
Story
Jambo! (or, Hi!)
In March 2009 I'll be conquering (hopefully!) the 'Roof of Africa' - 6 days of hiking, covering a total of 32 miles, and climbing to an elevation of 19,340 feet.
Why? Cos I'm mad.
And more importantly, to raise money for the Amani Children's Home.
The Home is a grassroots Tanzanian charity, set up to meet the needs of street children in two towns located at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Amani offers these children, affected by problems such as HIV/AIDS, weakening family ties, and one of the world's poorest economies, a safe home, a variety of educational opportunities, and wherever possible, the opportunity to be reunited with their families.
Donating through Justgiving is totally secure, and dead easy - you can do so from the comfort of your own home - so no excuses :-)
Thanks for your support, and wish me luck (I could well need it - it's quite high you know...)
