Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Anna, Nick, Robin and Simon (four lawyers from Shearman & Sterling) are taking part in Trailwalker UK on 19–20 July 2008.
It's a 100-kilometre (62 mile) hike from Petersfield to Brighton, along the South Downs Way, for teams of four - with only 30 hours to do it. If we walk at a normal speed of three miles an hour, it will take us nearly 24 hours, so allowing time for eating and for blister care there won't be any time to sleep!
Many people think its "only walking", but covering a distance of two and a half marathons, plus an ascent equivalent to that of Ben Nevis it's hardly a walk in the park.
If all that wasn't enough of a challenge - we're fundraising too! All the money goes to support the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
We would be grateful for any sponsorship you may be able to give.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
