Story

Our son, Luke Reid, died on 19 February 2010 in a car accident. He was 12 years old, and older brother to Josh, Ruby, Ella and Iona. We all miss him terribly. He was the most interested, loving, kind, entertaining, brave boy you could ever wish to meet.

He was diagnosed with Brittle Bone Disease (Osteogenesis Imperfecta) when he was ten months old.  When he was four he began a pioneering treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital to 'make more bone'. So, whilst his bone was still weak, there was more of it. His regular bisphosphonate infusions made a tremendous difference to the way he could lead his life - and in most ways he lived just like any other kid his age.

Thousands of pounds have already been raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital in his name, which he would have been so happy about - he knew how much GOSH achieves, how it saves so many lives, and enhances the lives of many more.
