Story
Despite the combined efforts of goats,cows,tuk-tuks,trucks,potholes,sand and a good dose of Dehli belly, I survived and made it home.
Thanks so much for all your support and generous donations, it was an amazing experience that I will never forget
I am hugely grateful for all your support Thanks so much for getting to my target !!I will update on my return, now where is that mosquito net....................................
On 1st November 2008 I will be embarking on an epic fundraising challenge. I will be going to India riding across Rajasthan with my friend Margaret on a classic Enfield Bullet motorcycle – a total of 1825km (over 1100 miles). I'm doing this on behalf of Scope, the charity for people with cerebral palsy.
Every six hours a child is born with cerebral palsy, it is the most commonly diagnosed physical condition in the UK and occurs around the time of birth when part of the brain fails to develop properly. It can happen to any child. Scope is the largest charity in the UK working with people with cerebral palsy, their families and carers.
The money raised from the India: Rajasthan Motorcycle Challenge will allow Scope to continue running their vital services which are designed to support disabled people in every aspect of their lives from birth through to adulthood.
I have pledged to raise a total of £3000 for Scope.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Scope gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
