I know what you're thinking - Azad running, never!! Well folks it's true. I've decided to put myself through the challenge of running in the British 10K London Race which is being held in July. That gives me a few weeks to train and get myself into some sort of reasonable fitness to actually complete the course and in the process with your help raise a lot of money for a worthy cause.

I’ve chosen to support the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF) who are doing a fab job in helping people with the condition by providing resources for funding research projects and providing ongoing educational support to people with diabetes.

As many of you will know diabetes is rife amongst my family and my father who suffered from the illness for many years, died in his prime as a result of this debilitating condition. What you may not be aware is that Diabetes is a rapidly escalating disease - more than 2.3 million people diagnosed in the UK and many more who have it but don’t know it.
