The London Legal Walk 2009

The staff teams and some volunteers from the Bar Pro Bono Unit and FRU will be walking 10K around the legal landmarks in London starting at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Last year there were 3,400 walkers across the many participating Walk Teams who collectively raised over £360,000. More information about the London Legal Walk 2008 can be found at: http://londonlegalsupporttrust.org.uk.

The Bar Pro Bono Unit and The Free Representation Unit (FRU)

The Bar Pro Bono Unit and FRU help many people each year who would have no access to expert legal help without these services. To see the work both charities do click the following links:

The Bar Pro Bono Unit helps to find pro bono (free) legal assistance from volunteer barristers in the form of advice, representation and help at mediation throughout England and Wales. http://www.barprobono.org.uk

The Free Representation Unit (FRU) provides legal advice, case preparation and advocacy in tribunal cases for those who could not otherwise obtain legal support, for want of personal means or public funding. www.freerepresentationunit.org.uk
