We promote children's literacy and equality to help all children reach their potential

Story

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"  Nelson Mandela

For one minute, think how different your life might be if you hadn't had an education.  What might you be doing now if you had been born into a community with no school or no access to books?  This is the situation for millions of children around the world - Room to Read is seeking to change the world one child at a time.

Partnering with local communities throughout the developing world, Room to Read is giving children the lifelong gift of education and YOU can help them!

Jenni and I are in training for our first ever competitive run - the 2007 ASICS British 5K Womens London Run - and this will kick-start the fundraising efforts of this page.  I will also be organising a number of fundraising events in and around Marlow and they will be added to this total.

So....thank you for visiting our Room to Read page. For more information, check out www.roomtoread.org or even better buy John Wood's book "Leaving Microsoft to Change the World" - I promise you'll be inspired, I was!  Please dig deep and help a child towards a better future.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Room To Read will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
