Hello!

 

As you will know, I am not a healthy or motivated person. And if you work with me you will know that my exercise regime generally consists of an 11 minute dash to work supplemented by (minimal) trips up and down the stairs to the photocopier.

 

But this month I am swapping the wine for water (3 days a week anyway) and dragging my thirtysomething self around the backstreets of Peckham in a bid to get fit enough to run 10k for charity.

 

In recognition of this uncharacteristically selfless act, please sponsor me. The charity I am running for is called Bridge2Aid and it works in the North West region of Tanzania. The funds we raise will go towards a programme at the Bukumbi Care Centre, a centre caring for the disabled and people affected by leprosy as well as their families. This will include the provision of health and medical care, and food supply amongst other things.

 

By way of an update on my progress so far, 10k equates to over 6 miles and I have only managed to run 3.2 miles in one go! There is a lot of hard work to be done on my part before 31 May and your donations will convince me that my pain is worthwhile!
