Hi, and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page :)

I'm running the Great Welsh Marathon in Llanelli this April to raise money for two fantastic charities: CLIC Sargent and Coppafeel!. Both of these charities have been instrumental in supporting close friends of mine in recent years. 

I'm also part of my university Ticked Pink society, for which Coppafeel are one of our charities. 

Throughout February I also did a month of fancy dress with a different costume for every day. This went amazingly well and I smashed my original target of £200 thanks to so many generous donations. 

CLIC Sargent are a children's cancer charity whose aim is to see that all children and young people who are given the devastating diagnosis of cancer live life to the full. Amongst many things, they provide clinical, practical and emotional support to young people and their families. They also give financial support including grants to help families cope with the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis, and they offer free 'Home from Home' accommodation for families that have to travel for treatment. Currently, CLIC Sargent can only help 2 out of 3 children diagnosed with cancer. Having seen the massive impact that a cancer diagnosis has an a young person's life, I know how important it is to have such support through such a difficult time. CLIC Sargent's aim is to be able to provide every young person diagnosed with cancer with a CLIC Sargent social worker - an invaluable emotional and practical support network at this time. But to do this, they need to be able to more help, which is why I am raising money for them.
