Story

  BERGERAC OR BUST WITH COMPASSION!

Hi Everyone,

LAST OF THE FRENCH SUMMER WINE?! WE HOPE NOT!

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.  We've done it!  483 miles in 9 days!  But you  still have time to make a donation to Compassion  (see details below) !  (Want to see our route? - Visit http://www.acrobat-rental.co.uk/france.htm for latest news.)

On 16th April 2009 Jim Rice and Hum Temple, mates for 50 years and with a combined age of 125+ (gulp!), will leave Jim's house in Farnham,Surrey on a 3 man bike to pedal 450 miles to Bergerac in the south of France.

Each push of the pedals may be agony for us but will help to bring hope to children around the world through your donation to Compassion UK.

Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 25 countries.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Compassion Uk Christian Child Development gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

On behalf of children around the world-Thank you soooooooooooooo much.

Jim and Hum

PS. Why a 3 man bike?? Because we're hoping we may find some energetic hitchhikers en route!
