*BREAKING NEWS* The government has finally provided the money it needs to start refurbishment!! Building work has begun and the new CF Ward is due to be complete December 2020! This has been a long time coming , 10 years we've waited for this day wow!

The fundraising doesn't necessarily stop here. Although government are funding the facilities and staffing, the new ward will need equipment to make patients lives more comfortable. The Better Life Appeal continues but for now the hard work is done!

In 2015 with a great team of friends named Bertha's Army we pledged to raise £10,000.00 for Better Life Appeal, Llandough Hospital.

The Better Life Appeal supports the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre caring for 300+ patients. The appeal desperately needs £1.3M (and rising) to refurbish a CF specialist in patient ward. Currently there are only seven bedrooms all of which share one bathroom. This is madness given the danger of cross infection between CF patients. Sadly its the only CF ward in the UK where this still happens.

The £1.3M will equip 16 ensuite rooms giving CF patients the specialist facilities they deserve to lead a better quality of life.

We accepted the challenge and in just 9 months smashed the £10,000.00 target! We are currently on £20,000.00+
