Story
The Birdhouse Fund was set up by women for other local women who are struggling to achieve their potential. The fund aims to help disadvantaged women across Greater Manchester make a new start - be it through training, skills development or community projects.
Facing obstacles such as violent relationships, a lack of qualitfications or coming from a deprived background, these women may only need a little financial support to enable them to set out on their journey to success.
The Birdhouse Fund can help individuals with grants of up to £500 and all they have to do is demonstrate how this small amount will help them make a difference to their lives.
The fund is administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester who are a local grant-maker with 17 years of experience in reaching the hard to reach.
