Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Story
Boots' aim is to clock up 290,000 miles to raise funds for MacMillan cancer support - that's one for every person diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK
The Boots business teams with their partners and suppliers will be out on the streets walking from London to Nottingham, where the Boots stores head office is based, approximately 140miles over 8 days
To spread the fun, the route has been split into 8 different stages, which different Boots teams deciding what they will be doing on their journey!
Day 1 - London to Watford
Day 2 - Watford to Luton
Day 3 - Luton to Milton Keynes
Day 4 - Milton Keynes to Northampton
Day 5 - Northampton to Market Harborough
Day 6 - Market Harborough to Leicester
Day 7 - Leicester to Loughborough
Day 8 - Loughborough to Nottingham
The boots.com team with their partners and suppliers will be walking from Watford to Luton on the 2nd September (a total of 18.5 miles) with an aim of everyone in the team taking part in some way shape for form, walking, driving support vehicles or collecting in one of the four towns we visit - Watford, St Albans, Harpenden, Luton
Along the 18.5 miles we will be giving out samples and freebies, helping people to have a FEEL GOOD moment. Whether it’s a new lipstick, a baby's toy or just a smile we’ll be handing them out to everyone we meet and all we ask in return is for a small donation.
Leg 1 – The Make-up Miles
Made-up from top to toe, think “here come the girls”! – new lippy anyone?
Leg 2 – The Big Push-chair Push
A mad trolly dash except we’ll be dishing out not filling up.
Leg 3 – The Road to Health
Helping the people of Watford and Luton to Feel Good inside and out.
