For 100 days - I'm taking a break from London's Public Transport.

The last day will be in December and yes it’s the UK - so I’m expecting to be caught in torrential rain on a regular basis..
I love to cycle and run into work in the summer but still rely on TFL. However recently - I have been finding the experience more and more frustrating – crowded platforms, tube strikes, signal failures and increased fares.
So I thought I would take my own strike from London’s public transport for 100 days and donate all the proceeds of my otherwise 100 day travel budget to the Evelina Childrens Hospital.
A little trooper I know (not so little anymore!!) was treated at the PICU unit three years ago for auto-immune encephalitis which came out the blue. The fantastic doctors and nurses went above and beyond each and every day and are paramount in his recovery and I know his family are eternally grateful to the hospital.
Evelina Children’s Hospital relies on donations to be able to support children’s care through enhancing and improving facilities and services and most especially fund other items that directly support the children’s care such as life-saving drugs.
#breakfromtfl is the chance for you to give up London public transport for 1 day, week or perhaps even 1 month if you are brave and donate what you would have spent on transport to a better cause!
RULES: No buses, tubes, DLRs or even a sneaky boris bike (yep that also counts).
Wish me luck!
