I have said for many years that I would run a marathon and now, as I am rapidly approaching 40, it’s about time I actually did it!

Another big reason for this madness is to try and raise a bit of money for Cancer Research UK which is a charity very close to me.  Having lost my father to cancer some 17 years ago and more recently a friend after a long brave battle with the disease, running this marathon gives me the opportunity to do something to provide a little help to the massive effort Cancer Research do in working towards cures and treatments - please help me make the “Big C” mean cure.

I’ll do the running if you can pledge a little to keep me motivated and give me the boost I need to drag my ageing body 26.2 miles around the south coast of England.
