Story

The original idea of Burr Fest began way back in 2013. I never got to meet Clive, but having seen the effects of MS on my own aunt, I wanted to do something to honour his legacy, but I had no idea where to start.

Fast-forward to 2015 and I would meet Erwin Lucas, who has since become a very good friend.

Together, we started meeting and becoming friends with, various former members of Iron Maiden, and a plan started forming.

In late 2016, we had the basic model for the first Burr Fest! The event would be held at The Lounge (Nightclub Kolis) in Archyway, London, the night before Iron Maiden hit the capital for the last 2 stops on their "The Book Of Souls UK Tour".

The night was a huge success, selling out weeks in advance, and featured fantastic performances by Thomas Zwijsen, Cris Martin's Rock Dawn, Lizard, V1, and Airforce.

Now, we prepare for a second outing, as Burr Fest expands to a 2-day event, with a pre-party at the Birthplace of Iron Maiden, The Cart & Horses, in Stratford, on Friday 9th March. There will be performances by Jenny Darren & The Ladykillers, Firebird Seven, and Red Hawk Rising, with the brilliant Born Again - Heavy Metal Soundhouse, playing us into the early hours!

The following night, we return to Nightclub Kolis, for the main event, with live performances by Tony Moore, Buffalo Fish, Gypsy's Kiss, Wicked Stone, Lizard, Airforce, and Architects of Chaoz.

The 2018 instalment is shaping up to be another fantastic event, and we hope to raise even more for this fantastic charity!
