Hello,

Welcome to buyingTeam's justgiving site. On May 20th, 28 buyingTeam employees began their mission to walk the Global Corporate Challenge. A Global initiative which lasts for approximately three months and sees each employee having to walk 10,000 steps per day (approximately four miles).

We are doing this in teams of 7 against each other but also against many other organisations around the world. Our steps are recorded every day and entered into an online map of the world. The idea being to see which team / organisation can walk the furthest around the world before the competition ends on September 7th 2010!

We are doing this challenge to raise money for Emmaus, buyingTeam's charity of the year. Emmaus enables people to move on from homelessness, providing work and a home in a supportive, family environment. Companions, as residents are known, work full time collecting, renovating and reselling donated furniture. This work supports the community financially and enables residents to develop skills, rebuild their self-respect and help others in greater need.
