28/8/10 - Huge thankyou to everyone who helped in the organisation of the run, my parents for meeting me at various points with loads of food and to Matthew and Mark Braid for cycling the whole distance with full paniers, keeping me company and making sure I didn't go completely insane!

In the last week of August, we will be running from Workington to Tynemouth covering roughly a marathon per day for 5 days. In addition to this, some of us may be sporting Y-fronts for a significant proportion of the journey! 

The money raised will go to the charity PAPYRUS for the prevention of young suicide in memory of Dan Pickard who ended his own life tragically in January of this year.

Suicide is currently the most common cause of death for young people between the ages of 15 and 34, taking up to almost 1400 lives in the UK every year.

Donations will help PAPYRUS to run and maintain their telephone service with qualified professionals (HOPELineUK) as well as provide support and advice to parents and others who know someone who they believe to be suicidal.

This charity relies on the support of the community to raise over £300,000 each year in order to continue providing this much needed service.
