Story
For the last thirteen years, fellow pupils have travelled to Port Elizabeth
to work in these township primary schools to both complete various
projects (such as building a new library, constructing a water storage tank and laying a new football pitch) and to teach the local children, sharing their knowledge on the subjects they most enjoy. We can’t wait to be the next group and find out how we can make a difference in these schools. Community service at Reed’s is integral to the holistic education we have had and the trip to Calabash will be the pinnacle for us.
Over the years, Reed's pupils have raised over £75,000 for the Calabash Trust, ensuring that all the equipment and necessary resources for the various projects have been paid for and providing a vital funding stream for the township schools. Our aim this year is to raise over £10,000 with the support of family, friends and colleagues and by organising a range of challenges and events. We would be so grateful for any donation, no matter how small.
All donations will go directly to Calabash Trust UK. Online donations that will have Gift Aid added can be made at: www.justgiving.com/calabash2019
