As some of you might know, I work for Home-Start Aberdeen. That means I see the incredible impact that colleagues and volunteers have on the lives of families in city every day. It's my privilege to support them and so I am raising funds to ensure we can reach every family that needs us. 

Having my own young children, I know all too well that  they don't come with an instruction manual and they don't have an off switch! For many parents with young children, it can be a lonely, anxious and financially difficult time. At Home-Start Aberdeen we know that a little friendship, compassion and guidance can give those parents the help they need to give their children the best possible start in life. 

And that's exactly what our Home-Start Heroes provide to families! They offer non-judgemental, friendly and impactful support and advice. They role model and help families to access resources they need. They promote happy, healthy families who are better able to cope with life's challenges.
