Story
Only a few more days to go and I now realise just how far 54 miles is!
I have been blown away with the generosity of the many people who have sponsored me for this event and the amount I have raised far exceeds my original target. I have raised my target to £7,300 which, hopefully with £2,700 from BP, would take me to £10,000 - please help me reach this stretch target!
Although I am not a religious person, every night I pray that a cure will be found for MND and maybe, just maybe, with your help, MND Scotland will do this in time to help my brother.
Thank you very much,
Cameron

Thanks for visiting my fund raising page,
Me on a bike? I can hardly believe it myself! The last time I cycled for more than a mile was over 35 years ago. And, with less than 2 months until the London to Brighton Bike Ride, I have still not been out on my bike but at least it is now here in Claygate.
So why am I doing this? Last summer, my brother Iain was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). MND is used to describe a group of related diseases which affect the motor nerves, or neurones, which pass messages to the muscles telling them what to do, taking away the ability to do everything that we all take for granted - walking, talking, eating, drinking and even breathing.
Currently there is no known cure for MND and constant support and research is required for this illness. MND Scotland exists to help all those affected by MND, promoting continual care, support and research. They require £13,500 every week in funding to support them. I would therefore like to raise as much money as possible to support this very deserving cause.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me; Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you're a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Please, if you are a taxpayer, make sure you tick the Gift Aid box.
Please sponsor me now; your sponsorship will not just motivate me to complete the 54 miles but will also help my brother and others with this disease in years to come.
Thank you very much!
