Story

Join us for 122K Steps for Freedom and support more women can live lives of independence and sustainable freedom.

Here's a insight into how support from Sophie Hayes Foundation Programmes changed the life of one woman; “I was depressed, but because the programme, it made me exposed, and it gave me confidence. I always wanted to go to class, and I always tried my best to attend because it filled me with joy. I met lots of friends, it's very good for me. There's nothing I didn't like. Overall, it gave me confidence, and it's helped me greatly. The group sessions were very good, with everybody explaining their own experiences, I learnt a lot. Before this programme, I was having anger issues - when you don't talk you become so depressed. Now I can communicate with different people, and I'm not scared, even to speak to 100 people.”
