Story
I’m walking 122,000 steps to raise money for the Sophie Hayes Foundation to continue their incredible work supporting women survivors of modern slavery.
From 4-18 October I will challenge myself to walk a minimum of 122,00 steps. Why? It is estimated that 122,000 people are currently experiencing a form of modern slavery in the UK. The Sophie Hayes Foundation supports women survivors of modern slavery, delivering programs that help them build the skills needed for lasting freedom and independence.
I’ve volunteered with this organisation for a few years now, and I truly admire the work they do. Their approach goes beyond temporary support, empowering survivors to develop skills that enable them to lead independent lives.
Can you support me in this challenge and help me raise funds that will support a woman in her journey to sustainable freedom? Whether you can donate £5 or £100 - every pound raised makes a huge difference!
The Sophie Hayes Foundation believes freedom does not start simply by leaving an exploitative situation - it starts when an individual finds real safety, security, independence and happiness. Your donation will help a woman do this.
*Donations can be made regardless of which country you are in or what currency you use!
