Recovery is a long and arduous process so we want to help provide the equipment and services needed by brain injury survivors and their carers so they can concentrate on their recovery and once again live with dignity, self-worth and return to being a valued member of society and their families.

Story

In 2019, 3 years after suffering a life changing brain injury, Zara set up 3 Million Steps with the aim of raising money to help other people recovering from brain injuries. To raise money she walked from John O'Groats to Lands End. An epic journey of 1060 miles taking 5 months and nearly 3 Million Steps.

This year she is taking on a new challenge by walking from St. Davids on the west coast of Wales to Lowestoft, the most easterly point in England. The distance this time; only 500 miles or 1 million steps.

To continue supporting people recovering from brain injuries Zara has set the 1 Million Steps for 1 Million Pennies challenge. Not only is she taking on this challenge but is hoping to raise awareness of brain injuries during the walk.
