Thank you for visiting Bromley Mencap’s JustGiving page. We are a local charity supporting disabled children, young people and adults, and their families, across the Bromley, Lewisham and surrounding community. Every day, we work to ensure disabled people are seen, heard and valued — and have the same opportunities to live happy, fulfilling lives. From providing short breaks for families, to running inclusive activities, offering advice and advocacy, and creating safe spaces where people can build confidence and friendships, our services make a real and lasting difference. For many families, this support is life-changing. But we can’t do this alone. Your donation will help us continue delivering vital services, reach more people who need us, and respond to growing demand in our community. Whether it’s funding a session, supporting a family in crisis, or helping someone feel less alone, every contribution matters. No amount is too small, and every pound raised stays local, directly supporting people in Bromley. If you’re not able to donate, sharing our page with others would mean just as much. Thank you for your kindness and support — it truly makes a difference!

Story

Our Cycle Ride challenge is raising vital funds to support families with disabled children.

For 75 years, Bromley Mencap has supported disabled people and their families to live more independent, connected and fulfilling lives. Family Futures, one of its key services, provides early, preventative support - helping families access advice, build confidence, and connect with others before challenges reach crisis point.

"After my child’s diagnosis, I felt completely overwhelmed and didn’t know where to turn.” Sarah, mum of James.

Through Family Futures, they received guidance, emotional support, and met other families who understood their experience.

“It made such a difference knowing we weren’t alone, and I felt more confident getting the support my child needed.”

Every donation helps more families access that same support, reducing isolation and preventing challenges from escalating.

By supporting the Cycle Ride, you’re helping make a real difference.
