Join us for our Third Annual UK Trek! This year it's an 'end of season' challenge in the Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walk or jog 25km or 50km with Ascend supporters, and help change the lives of young women in Afghanistan!

Story

In a country consistently ranked the most dangerous country for women in the world, where 88% of women are illiterate and 87% face domestic violence or abuse, the Ascend team is breaking down barriers every day.

Our two-year mountaineering based leadership programs empower young Afghan women to fight back and rise above the challenges they face in everyday life. Our training prepares them to be strong in body and mind. Then, through community service projects, they reach out a hand to others.

The Ascend team is providing hope and a pathway for Afghan girls.
