Story

Following a family member suffering Stroke, Ken decided he would like to raise money for Edgworth Bowling Club to thank members for their care and support. In addition, he decided to link this with fundraising for the Stroke Association. The old established bowling club has a lovely location, but green maintenance is costly and the clubhouse is in dire need of renovation and an upgrade. The club intends to provide facilities to help in the well-being and rehabilitation of people with Stroke. Ken is undertaking a major fund-raising effort including three marathon swims.

We are the local village hall in Edgworth, Lancashire & are the focal point for anything community related. We also have a recently improved woodland area with good accessibility for all to enjoy the extensive flora & fauna. The impressive Edwardian building has recently had a new roof & heating system to ensure it's continued existence, and now is in need of some significant internal refurbishment & re-decorating. Fundraising events, grants & donations will be the prime source for the funds required for these works.
