Story

After a successful trip in November 2022 , this April Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, and a team of talented DJs, producers, Filmmakers and street artists will embark on a journey to Sierra Leone on a powerful mission to change lives through music and art in collaboration with WAYout Arts.

WAYout Arts supports street, vulnerable, and conflict affected young people through the arts. With a life-changing programme of activities, this groundbreaking project offers training, shelter, and the opportunity to drive social change through filmmaking and music. By promoting artistic freedom, education and empowerment for the most marginalised young people WAYout Arts help the excluded to re-engage.

We will visit the WAYout Arts project for 6 days, bringing two of our in-house campaigns with us - Street to Street and Get Equipped.

Respected street artists Inkie ,Nicolas Dixon , Sen 1 (NYC) Chapter (Ibiza) will represent our Street to Street initiative. They will be delivering workshops and working collaboratively with the young people to paint the WAYout studio building - sharing skills and inspiration along the way.

Representing our Get Equipped initiative will be DJs and producers Steve Mac ,Amber D & Scott Gray (Melonbomb) who will fast-track some advanced students, teaching them the fundamentals of creating electronic music and DJing using donated equipment.

Steve Mac will complete an album after producing 5 amazing tracks on our last trip.

Donations to this trip will help us to deliver this project and support young people on their creative journeys.

Your donations will help to fund a project which will:

- Elevate the self-worth of young people

- Empower young people to develop freedom of expression and agency

- Provide a safe space for young people to learn

- Provide access to positive role models

- Create opportunities to build confidence

- Improve and increase accessibility to resources so more young people can learn

- Supply further equipment enabling the impact of this project to widen

We are so grateful for the donations we receive and carefully consider how we spend your money. When you dig deep for us, we know that it is because you want to show your appreciation, admiration and support for the incredible young people we serve and because you want to help us on our mission to change lives and save lives.

We never take a donation for granted, no matter how small. We are blessed to have an incredible community of supporters behind us, and we count ourselves lucky every time a member chooses to donate.

Thank you, Team LNADJ
