Story

On June 17th, our group of 11 cyclists from Naas Cycling Club will attempt to cycle from Ireland's most southerly point Mizen Head to the most northerly point Malin Head nonstop in 24 hours.

The route is 570Km over some of the country's most challenging terrain. We will need to maintain a 28km/hr average speed to arrive under 24 hours.

Why are we doing this??

We are fortunate enough that we get to train and do this event. It is a severe challenge but nothing as challenging as what the Jack and Jill nurses face every day.

Most of us will have done about 6000km in training since January to achieve the level of fitness required.

About the charity

Jack and Jill funds and provides in-home nursing care for children with highly complex medical conditions up to the age of six and provide end of life care for children under six, regardless of the diagnosis. Parents call the service the ‘gift of time'.
