Story

Today, in a cowardly suicide attack on Jamia Masjid, Koocha e Risaldar Peshawar, approximately 56 were martyred and 194 seriously injured, the death toll is likely to increase. These people were in the middle of Namaz e Jumma, at the time of the blast, Amongst the dead were children, elderly, scholars and reciters from the community.

We offer our sincerest condolences to the families of the momineen that were martyred. May Allah (swt) elevate their ranks and secure Pakistan from the scourge of extremism.

The Majlis e Ulama e Shia Europe (MUS), is recording its protest on the target killings of Shia Muslims in Pakistan, which has ransacked our country for the past three decades.

However the most practical assistance we can give at this time is financial support, many breadwinners were lost today, fathers, brothers, husbands. On top of this, the mosque itself has seen a major level of infrastructure damage.

All of this requires money as we know, in the current period people are struggling with cost of living as it is, let us do our part to make a difference.

A trusted member of MUS will be flying to Peshawar in the coming weeks to ensure that the funds have been received and properly used, if you would like further confidence on this, please contact office@majlis.org.uk
