Quaker Social Action has been adapting in response to the pandemic, to ensure our practical action can offer support to people living on low incomes during the toughest of times.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters, we've been able to:

> Respond to every call made to our national funeral costs helpline, whilst our online guides are helping families to arrange meaningful funerals during Covid-19 restrictions.

> Offer regular contact to the young adult carers in our supported housing project, helping them to navigate the crisis and its impact on their work and home life.

> Provide our financial and mental wellbeing programmes through online workshops, digital resources, mobile apps and by phone.

> Take on new activity to support people who are homeless and continue our ambitious approach to taking action against poverty.

Help us continue to be a force for good.

The pandemic is taking its toll on people both financially and mentally. For some, it's increased the already heavy burden of financial insecurity, and for others, they are facing instability and uncertainty for the first time.

One area in which we've seen this most acutely, is our Down to Earth funeral costs helpline. The number of people supported by the helpline doubled from December to March, compared with the same period last year.
