Marco was in the unfortunate circumstance of his owner being unable to look after themselves any longer because of Dementia.
He is a senior cat around 15 years old and has obviously also struggled to look after himself, his nails had grown round into his feet, unable to stand properly had left him with painful, smelly infected feet. Under sedation his nails were removed from his infected pads. He has other problems including dermatitis on his feet and in his extremely swollen, congested nose too. He was quite emaciated and weighed less than a 4 month old kitten, had a mouth full of fractured teeth, ear problems and requires steroids to manage his problems. He needs considerably more veterinary attention than most cats we have in branch.
Oreo was adopted from our branch as a kitten, sadly through no fault of his own he found himself homeless at the age of 5. With a mouthful of teeth covered in tartar and inflamed gums. Someone kindly has been feeding him since November, but at this stage he needs medical attention.
Marco especially, will need considerably more veterinary attention than most other cats we see in branch, normally each individual cat costs Goole RSPCA £250+. Marco and Oreo will cost much more than that for their veterinary treatment, medical requirements, food, heating, vets trips and hopefully eventually be rehomed.
We haven't been able to fundraise for the last 2 years during the pandemic which has considerably impacted our funds.
Could you help pay for the medical attention these 2 boys deserve?
We rely on fundraising, donations from the general public and local animal lovers support to be able to continue our work.
Thank you
