Organised by Diocese of LeedsSt Patrick's Mission is based in the city of Bradford and is served by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal whose work with the poor and homeless was featured in the BBC One documentary Bronx to Bradford: Friars on a Mission.
In Bradford, the needs of the poor and destitute are many. The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal offer a space in which physical, spiritual, and social needs can be met. Visitors are always greeted with a smile! Each Friar has a strong sense of what it means to give service with an underlying sense of dignity. The Friar's caring hospitality is essential for those seeking refuge and rest from the clamour of the city. Since the COVID pandemic, the number of those coming to the Friar's has doubled and they now offer lunch to over 150 people daily.
Singing, prayers, scripture, healing and evangelisation are an integral part of the Friars mission. They offer a harbour for everyone!
