Tis the season to be jogging... !

Simply complete 12 runs of any distance, at any speed, as part of the Great Run Solo December Accumulator Challenge, and earn your very own secret Santa medal, one of three festive medals that will be delivered to your door in time for Christmas. Whether you hang in on your tree, or wear it with pride, you dont want to miss out on one of the last medal earning opportunities of the year.

There are also challenges available for children aged 10-14 and 9 and under, so whatever your age, and whatever your ability, this is the Christmas running challenge for you.

It's super easy to take part, just follow the simple steps below:

1. Register to take part on the Great Run website. Registration is £15 and in return you will receive a unique finishers medal, access to training plans & tips, and access to an online run tracking tool.

2. Fundraise for Shine by clicking the 'start fundraising' button on this page and asking your friends and family for donations. If you're not able to fundraise, you can donate directly to Shine by clicking the donate button on this page.

3. Complete 12 runs between 1-25 December to receive one of three medals through the post in time for Christmas. In true secret Santa style, you won't know which medal you will receive until it arrives! Don't forget to share your progress on social media and tag us @ShineUKCharity.
