Story
We would like your help to keep our rescued animals warm and dry... by fundraising for a new washing machine!
OK, it's not cute and fluffy, it's not glamorous, but is IS an essential piece of kit
We have always used normal household machines for our washing, but the two we currently have are now broken. They really can't handle the constant use and the level of erm, soilage, that the laundry from 400 sick animals creates.
Now two staff are working full-time to wash and scrub 500-600 blankets and numerous surgical drapes EVERY DAY.
As it takes so long to wash, we are also struggling to get the things dry for the next day, an almost impossible task during the monsoon!
The industrial washing machine we wish to buy is designed for large institutions with heavy loads of laundry. It will do all we need in just a couple of cycles and will give us much more time to dry the blankets.
It will enable those staff who are constantly scrubbing, to actually work with the animals who need them.
And most importantly, it will mean our animals will be kept warm, dry and comfortable during the monsoon and winter months!

How You Can Help
The new machine costs £6,000, but we are thrilled that a generous supporter has offered to contribute HALF of the cost. This means we have £3,000 still to raise and that's where we need your help.
To make buying a new washing machine more fun for everyone we have created the Spinathon Challenge where we ask you to join us on Just Giving by getting sponsorship for a challenge that is unique to you! You can set your own target (though we ask you to aim for a minimum of £50) and your own activity...
Spin, cycle, skip, hula-hoop, fidget spin...whatever you like as long as someone or something is spinning!
We're raising £3K so why not incorporate the number #3 into your challenge?
Cycle 30km...hula-hoop in 3 different ways for 30 minutes each...keep a fidget spinner spinning for 3 hours...be as creative as you like!
