Story
At Paces we believe that everyone has the right to achieve their true potential; we believe in ability, not disability! At Paces, through a method of support called Conductive Education we teach our children life-changing skills such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, communication and self-care all in an environment they can have fun, develop friendships, and feel like they belong.
We deliver an Adult Sessional Programme, where we support those living with the effects of a Stroke, MS, Parkinsons, and Brain Injury. In these sessions, we re-teach the skills which have been lost due to their illness.
We also offer a special needs curriculum for 3-18 years olds as we do not believe that a childs education should suffer due to their disability. This means that if we start supporting a child from three years old we could be part of their support network throughout their whole life, as once they have moved from education they can join our adult service and reap the benefits of this programme.
Due to our recent fundraising efforts, our Paces Living Adult Services will move to a new facility at Smithywood Business Park just two miles, or about five minutes drive, from our current High Green base.
We are continuing our fundraising through our #NewHomeForPaces campaign, and the vision to move our School to a better facility is very much our goal for the future. By supporting us at such an exciting time is just amazing and we are thrilled to welcome you onto the journey with us
