The Heart and Lung Fund supports cardiology, coronary care and respiratory services across Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals, helping to improve patient care and wellbeing.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the fund has provided a wide range of equipment and resources that enhance patient care and experience. This includes handheld fans to support patients experiencing breathlessness, specialist equipment such as transducers, blood fridges, advanced intelligence stethoscopes and patient monitors, as well as equipment for the Cardiology Catheter Discharge Lounge.

Charitable donations help us invest in equipment, facilities and projects that support patients throughout their treatment and recovery, providing enhancements beyond NHS funding.
