Walk, run or cycle one of the most famous roads in the United States whilst raising money to help support Friends of the Cancer Centre's vital work.

The charity's Route 66 virtual event stretches for 2278 miles and crosses 8 states. As you clock up the miles and log your activity on our interactive map, you will be rewarded with E-postcards of the places you are passing.

This challenge can be undertaken by individuals and teams alike. Starting at the historical route 66 sign in E Adams St in Chicago and heading west to sunny Santa Monica Pier, California. Everyone has the opportunity to claim a Route 66 t-shirt and medal upon completion.

As well the physical challenge, Friends of the Cancer Centre would love you to raise as much sponsorship as possible when taking part in Route 66. We ask each participant to raise a minimum of £500. This could, for example, help fund 20 hours of care from the charity's team of specialist nurses. (That's only 25 people sponsoring you £20 ! ). In addition, our third party provider, End-To-End, will donate £5 from every entry fee from this challenge.

Most importantly, by taking part and raising funds and awareness, you will be helping support families from across Northern Ireland whose lives are impacted by cancer.
