Tokyo 2021

Our players and management team are joining thousands of fundraisers and committing to completing a distance containing the numbers 2.6/26. This will help with the costs of our next planned tour, which will hopefully be Tokyo in 2021.

The WDRU provides the opportunity for deaf rugby players to represent their country. It has played Internationals world wide culminating in winning the World Deaf Rugby Championships beating New Zealand at Eden Park , Auckland. We also provide BSL signed coaching to deaf school-aged children.

Story

Founded in 1995, our mens team are current 7s and 15s World Deaf Rugby Champions. 2020 saw our first womens team formed. Affiliated to the Welsh Rugby Union, we offer deaf and hard of hearing rugby players the opportunity to play international rugby for Wales. As a charity, our touring opportunities are self-funded and we appreciate all donations which help with the cost of overseas tours, growing the game globally.
