There has been a marked increase in companion animals needing to be rehomed in the last months, and with limited spaces we have waiting lists for animals coming in.

As well as day to day care, all animals have an initial vet check, get updated on their vaccines and flea/worm treatments/kennel cough as required, are neutered or spayed and have any essential treatments and ongoing medication provided whilst at the Sanctuary. On average this can cost up to £200 for a dog, £90 for a cat and £100 for a rabbit.

Assisi can look after up to 200 animals at any given time, and we never let the cost of possible vet care influence whether we take in an animal because we know our supporters, like you are 100% behind us. Thank you.

By signing up and taking part in our abseil on Sunday 9th October you will be partnering with us to help the helpless, not only raising money to go towards our vet bills, but also awareness of the work and need for Assisi within the community.

The cost of an abseil place is £35.00 which can be paid through this page, by hitting the GIVE NOW button. *Please note you cannot gift aid this amount and that this event is subject to the T&C's below. You can then set up your own fundraising page, by clicking START FUNDRAISING.

We are asking each abseil participant to raise a minimum of £100, which will go towards our vet costs.

It is always advisable, especially if the participant is pregnant or disabled in a way or recently suffered an illness, injury or impairment, to consult a physician before undertaking any physical activity. I, for myself and my heirs, do hereby fully release and forever discharge the administrators from any and all claims for injuries, including death or incapacity, illnesses, damages, expenses or loss that I may suffer arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the event.

By making the registration payment I agree that I have read and fully understand the above important information, warning of risk, assumption of risk and waiver and release of all claims. I also agree to donate or raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for Assisi Animal Sanctuary. If the minimum sponsorship target of £100 hasn't been reached 3 months after the event, I agree to pay the remaining balance to the charity. When your payment has been received through the JustGiving Campaign page the charity will make contact to send event information which includes information and advice on fundraising. By taking part in the event, I agree to receive these communications. The charity will not contact you in the future about support unless consent has been given.
