Story

We want an equal, diverse and inclusive profession where everyone is the right fit.

The IoF's Diversity Access Fund is an important initiative to make fundraising a more equal, more diverse and more inclusive profession. There are currently too few BAME (self-identifying as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background), disabled and LGBT+ (self-identifying under the LGBT+ umbrella, for example as lesbian, gay, bi and/or trans) fundraisers; and not enough women in leadership roles.

Our goal is to create an equal, diverse and inclusive profession where no matter what someone's personal characteristics, including gender identity, ethnicity, faith, age, class, sexuality, age or disability, they will be the right fit.

A big step to achieve this change is enabling those who would otherwise have been unable to participate and learn from our Fundraising Convention.

Last year, thanks to donations from people like you, we awarded bursaries to 23 people who would have otherwise been unable to attend and contribute to Fundraising Convention.

This year we want even more people from diverse backgrounds to attend Fundraising Convention and aim to award 50 bursaries covering travel, accommodation and attendance costs.

"Being able to attend Fundraising Convention was absolutely fantastic and something that I shall remain ever so grateful for. It has done wonders for the charity I work for and ultimately raised more money to support our beneficiaries."

If, like us, you believe that everyone belongs at Fundraising Convention, please consider giving what you can and help us raise £10,000 we need to increase diversity within our profession and enable more people from diverse backgrounds to attend Fundraising Convention.

£500 will provide a three day pass to Fundraising Convention

£200 will provide a one day pass to Fundraising Convention

£100 will provide a half-day of learning at Fundraising Convention

£50 will help towards the cost of accommodation for someone attending Fundraising Convention

£25 will help towards the cost of travel to Fundraising Convention

Thank you!
