Story

Colleagues are taking part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise money for venepuncture equipment for use within the Anne Rowling Clinic.

The AccuVein is a portable handheld machine that helps staff locate patients’ veins for blood test samples. It can – for some patients – take several attempts to find a suitable vein. Clinic staff want to make the process as easy as possible and think the AccuVein will increase venepuncture and cannulation success rates by helping clinical staff take blood first time.

Colleagues taking part in the Kiltwalk – and patients who will benefit from the venepuncture equipment – thank you for your kind donation.
