Story

Asger is a wonderful and brave 6-year-old boy with cerebral palsy; he has had a remarkable and difficult journey so far, and we are here to continue to support him into the next chapter

In 2023, the amazing support from the community truly changed Asger’s future and set him on a path for independence. Because of your generosity, we were able to fund life-changing SDR spinal surgery at the Portland Hospital and the huge amounts of costly rehabilitation that followed.

The right intensive therapies have already made a world of difference, helping Asger make incredible strides, but he still needs continued support to stay mobile, independent, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Cerebral palsy is a lifelong and painful condition, and as Asger grows he will face new challenges. That is why we’re continuing to fundraise to ensure he can keep building on the progress he’s made and access the therapies, equipment, and support he needs to thrive.

We are now moving into the next stage of Asger’s journey and looking at what challenges and costs lie ahead. We are raising money for ongoing therapies, orthotics, specialist equipment and new and emerging technologies for cerebral palsy, including an exoskeleton walking aid, as well as future orthopaedic surgeries and all the costs associated with these treatments and equipment items.

With your support, Asger can access the therapies and equipment vital to support him and his life with cerebral palsy. Your help will allow him to enjoy his childhood and take the next steps towards an independent, happy life.
