In 1990, a small group of compassionate people began offering free healthcare to the people of Belfast village in South Africa. They likely didn’t imagine they were planting the seeds of something extraordinary. But one woman did.

Jenny Holzthausen, guided by faith and an unshakable vision from God, has spent the last 35 years pouring love, dedication, and hope into what is now the ASM Clinic. As both CEO and Director of Nursing, Jenny has been the heartbeat of this mission, serving thousands with unwavering compassion.

Today, ASM Clinic operates five days a week, welcoming patients who often walk tens of kilometres for care. These are some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the region, and they come not just for treatment, but for dignity, kindness, and healing. From pre- and post-natal care to chronic illness management, TB and HIV screenings, and more, the clinic provides over 6,000 consultations each year. All at a token charge. No one is turned away.

Jenny is joined by Deputy CEO Yvonne Woods, a missionary nurse from Australia who has served the local communities for over 20 years. Together, they lead a dedicated team of local nurses who embody the clinic’s values of excellence and empathy.

ASM Clinic has grown through faith and perseverance, establishing a permanent site at Peebles near White River and recently expanding to serve the Msholozi township. But this vital work is only possible through the generosity of people like you.
