Story
ASM Clinic in South Africa is an astonishing beacon of love and dedication. It defied the odds when it started in the apartheid period, providing care and hope to the poorest people in the community. Today more than 30 years later its 2 clinics provide over 6000 consultations a year, led by an incredible lady called Jenny Holtzhausen.
Funded entirely by gifts and donations it has just launched a Lifeline Appeal to help it continue operating. You can read more about the people and the work of the clinic here.
A short while ago I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. I needed to do something fast. So I can't run, but I can cycle, so I can help others whilst improving my health.
So 20 rides, 19 countries in 30 days! Not literally but on Peloton. Each ride is at least 30 minutes and I expect to cycle between 250 and 300km.
Through Richmond Park and the Pyrenees, in the Himalayas and Chile! The final ride will be 22km which is the distance between the 2 clinics in the Mbombela region of Mpumpalanga.
